Job summary

University Health seeks a Vocational Nurse to provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the ambulatory setting, adhering to UH policies and standards. The role supports patient relations and promotes values across the organization.

The nurse will perform the nursing process safely in a designated clinic, maintaining and promoting department policies and standards across sites in Texas.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in direct patient care is preferred.
• Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card required.
• ACLS certification may be required based on site location.
• Various certifications may be required based on location site.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

At least one year experience in direct patient care is preferred. Current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card required. ACLS certification may be required based on site location. Various certifications may be required based on location site.

LICENSURE

Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
