Qualifications

• Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a state or territory.
• Minimum of one year experience in hospital, medical office, or outpatient setting.
• Detention/correctional or residential healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Administer medications as ordered via multiple routes.
• Conduct prescreening and intake data collection with established tools.
• Perform treatments such as wound care and vital signs as ordered.
• Collect lab specimens and assist with point-of-care testing.
• Respond to medical emergencies and stabilize patients.
• Assist other health care professionals and educate patients.
• May participate in involuntary, court-ordered care as required.
