Job summary

University Health Careers seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide direct patient care to rehabilitation patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in our San Antonio area facilities. The role emphasizes compassionate bedside care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualified applicants will have recent nursing experience, a Texas vocational nursing license, and current BCLS/ACLS as required by the site.

Qualifications

Must possess a current license from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to practice vocational nursing.
Recent nursing experience in rehabilitation settings preferred; three years of nursing experience overall.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Healthcare Provider cards are required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required at some sites.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Recent experience in area of assignment and three years nursing experience is preferred. Current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required based on location site.

LICENSURE

Must possess a current permit or license from the board of nurse examiners for the State of Texas to practice vocational nursing.
