Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a Medication Assistant for the Coterie community in San Francisco. You will monitor the medication program, assist the Wellness Manager, and help ensure safe administration of residents’ medications.

Applicants must complete Atria’s medication training and related programs, read and write basic communications, and be fully vaccinated. The role involves coordinating with pharmacy, families, and staff, maintaining records, and supporting care plans.

Qualifications

• Must complete Atria Medication Training.
• Complete all required training programs.
• Ability to read simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information to individuals and small groups.
• Must be fully vaccinated and provide record at hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor medication management and assist with medication room activities under Wellness Manager.
• Maintain medication records and assist with self-administration.
• Order, receive, store, and secure medications.
• Review medication administration records and report errors.
• Communicate with pharmacy, families, residents, and staff.
• Assist with updates to service plans and care logs.
• Assist residents with appointments and transport arrangements.
• Support training of assisted living staff and orient new staff.
• Conduct room checks and assist with resident care as needed.
