Job summary

African Safari Group is expanding its Southern Africa division and seeks experienced Luxury Travel Consultants with deep destination expertise to design and sell high-value, tailor-made safaris to international clients.

You will convert enquiries into bookings, craft detailed itineraries across Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and more, and maintain CRM records while delivering exceptional client service in a remote or hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in luxury travel, bespoke safari sales, or high-end B2C travel consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Southern Africa destinations (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Eswatini, Lesotho).
• Fluent English; additional languages such as German, French, Dutch, Spanish, or Italian are advantageous.
• Experience using CRM and itinerary systems such as Wetu, Tourplan, or equivalent platforms.
• Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or Marketing (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Convert qualified luxury travel enquiries into confirmed, high-value bookings and long-term client relationships.
• Design and deliver seamless, highly detailed bespoke itineraries across Southern Africa.
• Establish credibility and trust quickly with international clients through exceptional communication and cultural awareness.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Southern Africa destinations, lodge portfolios, routing, and seasonal travel dynamics.
• Ensure absolute accuracy across all proposals, documentation, CRM records, and client communications.
• Independently manage a high-performance sales pipeline in alignment with team processes and targets.
• Contribute to the brand’s commitment to responsible tourism, conservation, and meaningful travel experiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and a seamless client journey from enquiry to travel.
• Proven commercial success with measurable conversion rates and revenue generation.
• Embrace remote or hybrid work, maintaining high performance in a distributed environment.
