Job summary

Tommy Bahama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to act as a brand ambassador and business leader, supporting the Store Manager in building a high-performing sales team and delivering elevated client experiences. You will coach a diverse staff, drive profitability, and leverage store metrics to inform strategy and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of sales management experience in luxury retail or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a similar field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the business.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of luxury fashion, trends, and visual merchandising.
• Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events.
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and motivate the sales team to meet performance goals through ongoing feedback and support, escalating performance concerns to the Store Manager.
• Lead the sales team by example through sales efforts and customer service on the salesfloor to increase profitability.
• Commitment for delivering results; actively aware of personal and store metrics and achieves goals.
• Model and enforce dress code compliance.
• Ensure that customer and employee experience are prioritized over workload or tasking.
• Demonstrate confidence when leading the team and managing the store.
• Takes initiative; has a high level of ownership and accountability for results, both personally and as a team.
• Contribute to long-term growth by recruiting high level candidates and maintaining and developing a store team of associates able to meet service and sales goals.
