Holiday Inn Express Charleston Downtown - Medical Area seeks a Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team in maintaining a luxury hotel. You will oversee all maintenance projects, ensure preventative work is timely, and coordinate with the General Manager to keep operations smooth.

The role requires 3–4 years of engineering management in a luxury hotel, bilingual ability, relevant licenses, and strong organizational and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of engineering management experience in a luxury-brand hotel.
• Bilingual speaking is required.
• Must have government licenses, certificates or permits.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to repair and maintain various building and grounds equipment and train others.
• Operate mechanical equipment and tools.
• Excellent English communication skills (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel.
• Manage maintenance projects and ensure preventative maintenance is completed timely and accurately.
• Direct maintenance staff and assign responsibilities as needed.
• Collaborate with General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure smooth operation.
