Job summary

Capri Holdings Limited, owner of Michael Kors, seeks an E-commerce Photographer, Still Life, to create elevated product imagery for handbags, leather goods, footwear, watches, jewelry, eyewear, fragrance, and accessories. You will ensure color accuracy, material detail, and brand-consistent lighting across categories.

You will lead the still life set, collaborate with stylists and post-production, and troubleshoot challenging materials while meeting daily shot targets in a fast-paced studio

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional still life, product, or luxury e-commerce photography experience.
• Strong portfolio featuring handbags, footwear, jewelry, watches, or similar detailed consumer products.
• Advanced knowledge of studio lighting, color management, depth of field, and reflective surfaces.
• Proficiency in Capture One Pro, Adobe Photoshop, professional camera systems, and studio lighting equipment.
• Experience working in a high-volume e-commerce or retail studio with established shot lists and quality-control standards.

Responsibilities

• Photograph Still Life E-commerce imagery across handbags, small leather goods, footwear, watches, jewelry, eyewear, fragrance, and accessories.
• Ensure each image accurately represents the product’s color, material, shape, hardware, texture, construction, scale, and key design details.
• Lead the Still Life set by coordinating with stylists, technicians, assistants, and studio production to maintain efficiency and on-time shot lists.
• Maintain brand-consistent lighting, framing, scale, angle, shadow, reflection, and crop standards across all product categories.
• Capture hero images, alternate angles, side and back views, interiors, soles, closures, hardware, material details, and other category-specific views.
• Maintain exposure, focus, depth of field, color balance, camera position, lens choice, and capture settings throughout production.
• Communicate retouching intent clearly with post-production to ensure final assets remain accurate and polished.
• Troubleshoot lighting and capture challenges for reflective hardware, patent leather, metallic surfaces, transparent materials, jewelry, watches, and other demanding products.
• Support production targets by working with Studio Operations to achieve daily shot counts while preserving image quality and accuracy.
• Maintain set readiness and organize cameras, lighting, and workstations in production-ready condition.
• Participate in testing, workflow reviews, and process improvements; share knowledge with junior staff and freelance partners.
