Job summary

Sonic Automotive, the parent dealership group for Land Rover Newport Beach, is seeking an Automotive Technician to recondition vehicles to exacting standards. You will work under the Service Manager and collaborate with parts and service teams.

The role requires JLR experience or luxury-brand certification, ownership of tools, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Benefits include insurance, 401K, paid vacation, and development programs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Jaguar Land Rover experience, or Master Tech with a luxury brand.
• Own a set of tools.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Examine vehicle and diagnose necessary repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
