Building and Land Technology is seeking an experienced Painter to join its maintenance team at a luxury apartment complex in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on painting, patching, surface prep, and maintaining the overall aesthetics of residential units and common areas.

You will work with the maintenance team to prepare spaces for new residents, manage touch-ups, and ensure a clean, organized workspace. The job offers an hourly pay rate with strong benefits including health and retirement

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience as a Painter in multifamily residential or commercial real estate.
• Proficiency with brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
• Strong attention to detail and color-matching skills.
• Physical stamina for repetitive tasks and lifting heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of paint properties, finishes, and prep techniques.

Responsibilities

• Paint interior apartments with proper prep, masking, and priming.
• Prepare surfaces and apply primer and finishes.
• Assist maintenance with minor repairs and projects.
• Prepare apartments for new move-ins with touch-ups.
• Keep work area clean and organized; store tools properly.
• Schedule and fulfill work orders from supervisor or residents.
