Job summary

The Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Division of Pulmonary Biology. The successful candidate will lead a program in foundational lung biology and actively incorporate AI and genomic techniques to broaden research scope.

Candidates should maintain an active, funded research program and contribute to mentorship of faculty, postdocs, and students while advancing the division's scientific impact and diversity of funding

Qualifications

  • PhD and/or MD with significant experience in lung biology or a closely related field applicable to lung biology.
  • Established track record of research funding and significant publications.
  • Demonstrated mentorship and research training experience.
  • Interest in integrating AI and genomics into lung biology research

Responsibilities

  • Lead a robust research program in foundational lung biology areas.
  • Embrace and apply AI and genomic methodologies to enhance and diversify research.
  • Strengthen the division's understanding of lung cell lineages including epithelial, endothelial, mesenchymal, and immune cells.
  • Provide mentorship to faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students.
  • Effectively manage research funding and contribute to the division’s resource development.
