Job summary

Illinois School District U-46 is seeking a Noon Hour Supervisor to monitor students during lunch and recess in the cafeteria, playground and surrounding areas, ensuring a safe, orderly environment and adherence to school rules. Responsibilities include assisting with meal distribution and cleanup, supporting PBIS initiatives, and communicating effectively with students and staff.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, and prior experience with children is valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversees students in assigned areas and facilitates structured play, ensuring safety rules are followed.
• Ensures a safe environment during meal distribution, eating, recess, and cafeteria dismissal.
• Circulates among students on the playground and in the cafeteria providing assistance when needed.
• Recognizes and rewards positive behavior in alignment with PBIS.
• Shows consistency with students and follows through with discipline as needed.
• Reports injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline issues to the appropriate authority promptly.
