Job summary

Beverly Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Lunch Monitor to oversee lunchtime and recess activities, ensuring students follow established procedures and stay safe in the lunchroom and on the playground. You will help maintain a clean, positive environment, report issues to the principal, monitor supplies, and assist with dismissals.

Employment requires CORI/SORI checks and compliance with state and district policies.

Qualifications

Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
Ability to observe and respond to student behavior appropriately.
Dependability and punctuality are required for daily coverage.
Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all students follow established lunchtime and recess procedures.
Maintain the cleanliness of the lunchroom following lunch meal time.
Inform the building principal of lunchroom issues.
Maintain a safe and positive lunchroom and playground/classroom atmosphere.
Monitor and maintain the necessary lunchroom and recess supplies.
Dismiss and monitor students from the lunchroom.
Correct/redirect inappropriate/unsafe behavior.
Refer significant concerns to the building principal.
Document incidents of inappropriate behavior resulting in injury.
Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
