Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a part-time Lunchroom Assistant to supervise up to 30 students, distribute lunch inside the classroom, and assist with post-lunch cleanup. The role supports a positive lunch experience in the classroom and requires reliable presence during the school day.

The assistant will escort students to recess and perform additional duties as requested by the Principal, reporting to the Principal/School Leader. Work is 3 hours per day, on-site at the assigned school.

Qualifications

• Must be able to supervise up to 30 students.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of up to 30 students.
• Distribution of lunch inside the classroom.
• General clean up of the classroom after lunch.
• Escorting the students to recess.
• Other duties as requested by the Principal.
