Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has an opening for a Lunch & Playground Supervisor (2 days per week). The goal of this position is to maintain a positive environment through safe and efficient supervision of school activities in the lunchroom and on the playground.

The ideal candidate will:

• Supervise students and maintain order in the lunchroom, on the playground and in the halls/corridors
• Assist in guiding students in development of desirable and acceptable social skills and habits
• Assist in general welfare and safety of students
• Report accidents and hazardous conditions immediately
• Resolve problems that might arise
• Inform teacher and/or principal of any serious problems
• Maintain the school rules and be consistent with discipline
• Encourage healthy attitudes and good bus/playground/lunchroom standards
• Consistently encourage following rules and organization of games to help establish habits of fair play in order to enjoy wholesome recreation activities
• Periodically inspect the safety of equipment on the playground and report safety concerns
• Respond immediately to safety complaints made by students
• Send students to the nurse on matters that require immediate medical attention
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Report to building principal
