Grand Ledge Public Schools invites applications for an Elementary Lunch Attendant (Part Time) to support lunchtime operations in the school cafeteria in Lansing, Michigan.

Shifts run Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for students, with duties including table wiping, chair stacking, and trash disposal, while modeling positive behavior and strong communication with staff and students.

Job Summary: The Elementary Lunch Aide helps in maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for students during lunchtime. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude while working collaboratively with staff and students.

• Help maintain cleanliness and order in the cafeteria and lunch/recess areas.
• Model respectful, responsible behavior consistent with school values and expectations.
• Assists with wiping tables, stacking chairs, and emptying trash.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the principal or supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and students.
• Positive attitude and rapport with teachers and students.
• Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

• This position may require long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.

This position may require occasional lifting of supplies.

Interaction with administrators, food service staff, and teachers.
