Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a warehouse associate to move product from trailers to dock areas using a forklift or pallet jack. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient product flow within the receiving process.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of warehouse/production experience, and be able to work flexible hours including overtime. Lifting up to 60-100 lbs and multi-temperature environments are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience required.
• 6 Months - 1 Year Warehouse/production experience required.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Able to lift 10-35 lbs and up to 60-100 lbs depending on location.
• Able to work in cooler, freezer and dry environments.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Move product from trailer to dock staging area safely and efficiently.
• Sort and segregate pallets/product as needed.
• Check product for damages and inform receivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Position Summary:

Responsible for moving product with a forklift or pallet jack from trailer to another area of the warehouse dock during receiving process. Observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Move product from trailer to appropriate dock staging area in a safe, efficient manner.
• Sort and segregate pallets / product, as necessary.
• Check product for damages and alert receivers, if necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

• 6 Months - 1 Year Warehouse and / or production work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 100 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
