Job summary

QXO is seeking a Yard Associate to support lumberyard and warehouse operations. You will join the yard team to receive, stock, pull, stage, and load lumber and building materials for customer orders and deliveries.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable with physical outdoor work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Forklift experience or willingness to train is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in lumberyard, warehouse, building-materials, stocking, distribution, or construction environment preferred.
• Forklift certification may be required or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive, stock, organize, and store lumber and building materials in designated yard and warehouse locations.
• Load and unload trucks, customer vehicles, deliveries, and branch transfers.
• Verify product quantities and order accuracy before loading or shipment.
• Support inventory control, stocking, and material flow throughout the facility.
• Assist customers with locating and loading materials.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrectly stored materials.
