Job summary

Viking Inc. in Maine is seeking a yard associate to perform duties in the yard and support quality customer service. Responsibilities include loading vehicles, retrieving orders, operating a forklift, and keeping piles neat.

Qualifications

• Prior lumber yard experience required.
• Prior building materials experience required.
• Forklift and equipment experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Load company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices to include lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber and building materials.
• Prepare customer orders to include retrieving merchandise and materials from storage areas in accordance with customer invoices.
• Operate fork lift to load, unload and stock merchandise as needed.
• Put away product and keep lumber piles neat and organized
• Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures.
• Report customer complaints to Manager or Officers.
• Inventory goods and notify Manager of any shortages
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Removal & shoveling of snow from material piles and yard during Winter Months
• Make deliveries as needed
