NWH, founded in 1967, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of hardwood lumber to North America, Europe, and Asia. The Lumber Handler role involves safely handling, sorting, and stacking lumber in open warehouses while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

You will work in a team environment and may cross-train in other production duties. The position requires lifting 50+ pounds regularly, pre-employment drug screening, and a positive, safety-conscious attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be safety conscious and work well in a team environment.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Able to work at a fast pace and be detail oriented.
• Pre-employment drug-screen required.
• Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Cross train in other production related jobs.

Responsibilities

• Lumber Handler is responsible for safely handling, sorting, and stacking rough cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade.
• Ensure lumber is placed accurately and neatly into the appropriate cart.
• Work in open warehouses and keep work areas safe and clean.
• May perform other duties as required associated with handling of wood products.
