Canfor Corp. is hiring a Trimmer Operator for our sawmill in Hermanville, Mississippi. This permanent, full-time role features a Monday–Friday schedule and involves hands-on operation of industrial machinery, teamwork, and a focus on safety and quality.

The position requires handling repetitive tasks in a production setting, with exposure to noise and dust. Candidates should have 1–3 years in manufacturing or industrial environments and a strong emphasis on teamwork and learning.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods of time including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in an environment that includes exposure to environmental elements, moving mechanical equipment, loud noise, and dust.
• 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing/industrial environment; lumber process knowledge a plus.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration with co-workers.
• High degree of urgency and attention to detail.
• Desire to learn, grow, and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through various job responsibilities and tasks within your assigned workspace on an hourly basis.
• Responsible for safely operating industrial machinery.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
• Maintaining a commitment to quality throughout the production process.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify wear, damage, or malfunction, reporting findings to supervisors and maintenance for preventive action.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
