Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products in North Carolina's Roanoke Valley lumber mill is seeking Operations Technicians to run the manufacturing process and equipment safely in a collaborative team.

You will perform pre-shift checks, keep a clean workspace, help train new team members, troubleshoot issues, and participate in meetings and maintenance tasks. A high school diploma or GED and ability to pass a drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years experience in labor or related roles.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Facilities/wood products familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate lumber manufacturing equipment safely in a team setting.
• Perform pre-shift checks on equipment and surroundings.
• Demonstrate proper housekeeping and keep a clean workspace.
• Continuously improve processes and procedures in work area.
• Document & keep record of shift or machine performance.
• Actively train new team members.
• Attend meetings and trainings as needed.
• Problem-solve and troubleshoot production issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
