Job summary

Origin Mining Company, LLC is seeking a Lubrication Specialist in Golden Valley, Arizona, to perform lubrication services on stationary mining equipment and support machinery. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in industrial, heavy equipment, or mining lubrication preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of lubrication principles and contamination control.
  • Experience working with heavy mining equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine lubrication services on stationary mining equipment including conveyors, crushers, pumps, and support equipment.
  • Inspect equipment for proper lubricant levels, leaks, contamination, wear, and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Maintain and follow preventative maintenance lubrication schedules and procedures.
  • Collect and document oil, grease, and fluid samples for analysis and reporting.
  • Operate lubrication pumps, grease systems, and related service equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and disposal of lubricants and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental and company standards.
  • Monitor and maintain automatic lubrication systems.
  • Assist maintenance teams with equipment shutdowns, repairs, and servicing activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and work orders using company maintenance systems.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, and opportunities for reliability improvement.
  • Maintain clean work areas, service vehicles, and lubrication equipment.
  • Follow all MSHA regulations, site safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies.

Job description

The Lubrication Specialist is responsible for the inspection, servicing, lubrication, and preventative maintenance of heavy mining equipment and fixed plant machinery. This position plays a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient mining operations. The Lubrication Specialist works closely with maintenance personnel, operators, and supervisors to maintain proper lubrication schedules and contamination control standards across the site.

Duties and Responsibilities

Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in industrial, heavy equipment, or mining lubrication preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of lubrication principles, contamination control, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Experience working with heavy mining equipment and industrial machinery preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts, or holidays as needed.
  • Maybe required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times per shift.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments exposed to dust, noise, vibration, and changing weather conditions.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
  • Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information, to management.
  • Ability to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license and be able to operate a light vehicle.
