Job summary

Retif Oil & Fuel, a leading fuel and lubricant distributor in the southeast, is hiring a Class B CDL driver with Hazmat and Tank endorsements to join our transportation team. You will load bulk and package trucks, deliver to customers, and maintain records in compliance with DOT requirements.

The ideal candidate is at least 25 years old with 3 years’ driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Possess valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tank endorsement.
• Is 25 years old with at least 3 years driving experience.
• Is currently a gas hauler or had previous experience.
• Has a clean driving record.
• Is able pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive bulk and package trucks according to route plans.
• Load and unload products at customer locations.
• Maintain equipment according to company guidelines and keep logs.
• Maintain electronic driving logs and submit reports to dispatch.
• Communicate customer needs and delivery instructions to appropriate personnel.
• Report all accidents and injuries to supervisor.

• Drive safely and operate in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws as related to motor carrier safety regulations

• Maintains contact with dispatch team to receive loading and delivery instructions

Requirements

The best candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Possess valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tank endorsement
• Is 25 years old with at least 3 years driving experience
• Is currently a gas hauler or had previous experience
• Has a clean driving record
• Is able pass DOT physical and pre‑employment drug screen

Additionally, while performing duties, the employee is required to sit, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds, type, communicate effectively, manage conflict, work evenings and/or weekends, attend remote meetings, and travel. The driver must also be able to handle 55‑gallon drums ranging in weight from 450 pounds up to 600 pounds each.

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to:

• Successfully perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision.
• Interact professionally and confidently with other employees, customers, and contacts.
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
