Job summary

Germain Volkswagen of Westerville in Columbus, OH is seeking a dependable Automotive Lube Technician to join our service team. You will perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic diagnostics, coordinating with parts and service advisors to keep work flowing efficiently.

You’ll participate in manufacturer training, operate tools safely, and uphold high quality standards. We offer competitive benefits and a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Polite, professional demeanor and strong communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and tire rotations.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair services as needed.
• Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Communicates with Service Advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
