Job summary

Grease Monkey International in Montgomery, TX is seeking entry-level to skilled Lube Technicians to learn and grow with the team. The role focuses on basic maintenance tasks and customer vehicle service, with on-the-job training in our dealership methods.

You will perform essential vehicle care tasks, follow safety protocols, and contribute to a collaborative, respectful shop environment while developing your skills for advancement.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; basic math skills.
• Able to safely use mechanical tools without vehicle damage.
• Demonstrate teamwork and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Replace air and cabin filters, bulbs, and wipers.
• Check and top off under-hood fluids.
• Test, service, and replace vehicle batteries.
• Check tire pressure and clean windshields.
• Perform visual safety checks for leaks.
• Maintain shop safety guidelines and cleanliness.
• Attend required trainings and team meetings.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

The Lube Technician is our entry‑level position that is responsible for acquiring the skills and techniques to perform a variety of services safely and properly on customers' vehicles and contributing to our team’s success. They will be trained in the company's method for job acceleration and growth for the teammate’s career path while maintaining excellent service and technical/mechanical skills for the customer.

We are looking for entry level to skilled Lube Technicians that want to learn and are eager to grow with us.

We are looking for people who want to learn or know how to do the following:

General Vehicle Maintenance

General Vehicle Maintenance, including:

• Replacing air and cabin filters, light bulbs, and windshield wipers.
• Check and adjust, if necessary, under-hood fluid levels.
• Test, service, and replace vehicle batteries.
• Washing windshakes and adjusting tire pressure.
• Perform visual safety checks and look for fluid leaks.

• Maintain industry safety guidelines.
• Timely attendance and accurate time record-keeping.
• Basic shop maintenance and daily cleaning.
• Basic understanding of how to use a computer and register.
• Follow established grooming standards and uniform guidelines. *UNIFORM SHIRTS, JACKET AND BELT are provided.
• Support a respectful and healthy workplace environment.
• Perform essential duties with no damage to vehicles.

General Duties

• Perform general center maintenance and cleaning, including mopping, window washing, lawn mowing, clearing litter, snow and ice removal, cleaning restrooms and other customer and employee areas as applicable to location.
• Complete all required training for the position.
• Attend team meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
