Job summary

MINI of Portland, part of Lithia Motors, is hiring a Lube Technician. Earn $18.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience, with potential higher pay for flag hours.

Work hours include typical dealership shifts, and you will perform repairs, road tests, and documentation to Lithia and manufacturer standards. Responsibilities include diagnostic work, safety compliance, accurate time recording, and maintaining tools and workspace.

Qualifications

• 1+ year lube technician experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repairs per Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Complete work according to applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair quality.
• Record time spent on repairs using company clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair orders and test procedures/results.
• Maintain an inventory of typical tools and return special tools to proper place.
• Keep workspace organized and clean; perform daily stall cleaning.
• Return customers' vehicles to their pre-service condition.
• Complete required training; pursue manufacturer and ASE certifications.
• Engage in and apply technical training as assigned by management.
• Review technical bulletins and other publications as assigned.
• Communicate constructively with dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.
• Report safety or integrity concerns to management.
• Maintain grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards.
• Arrive on time and adhere to schedule.
