Recology is seeking a maintenance technician to perform safety inspections and preventive maintenance on a range of vehicles and heavy equipment at our facility in San Francisco. You will document work, manage parts usage, and communicate defects for follow‑up actions, while adhering to DOT safety standards.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience with heavy vehicles, and a valid driver’s license.
2 Shifts:
DAY: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
NIGHT: Monday- Friday, 4:00am-12:30pm
NOTE: Class A required 6 months after hire.
Under general supervision, performs safety and maintenance inspections, preventive maintenance on vehicles and/or heavy landfill equipment and/or stationary equipment.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:
Class A Commercial Driver’s License and medical with no air brake or automatic transmission restrictions required within 6 months of hire.
