Job summary

Lithia & Driveway is seeking a Part-Time Lube Technician to perform repairs, inspections, and basic maintenance in a fast-paced dealership environment. You will work under safety guidelines, document procedures, and ensure vehicles are returned clean and ready for customers.

Open availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred as outlined in the job posting. No prior experience is required, and a valid driver's license is necessary.

Qualifications

• Automotive technical knowledge required.
• No previous experience required.
• Acceptable driving record with a valid driver's license.
• High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair as outlined on the repair order.
• Maintain clean and organized workspace and proper tool inventory.
• Follow safety requirements and document time and procedures.
• Communicate with dealership staff to satisfy customer needs.
• Ensure vehicles are returned clean and in good condition.

You will need to be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.What You'll DoPerform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standardsDiagnose cause of malfunctionComplete all work according to the applicable safety requirementsRoad-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair workAccurately record time spent repairs utilizing company time clocking proceduresDocument work performed on repair order and document test procedures/resultsResponsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as \"special tools.\"Return special tools to proper placeUse shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical mannerMaintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.Ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.Complete all required trainingAcquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required trainingParticipate in and utilize technical training as assigned by managementReview the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by managementConstructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Clean gray work shirts, creased gray work trousers, shirts to be tucked in at all times.
