Job summary

Street Volkswagen of Amarillo is seeking an Xpress Lube Technician to perform light maintenance and routine vehicle service on customers' cars at our Amarillo dealership. You will follow dealership and factory standards, use standard shop equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include oil changes, fluid checks, tire pressures, and coordinating with parts to obtain needed items while delivering world-class customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some post-secondary automotive training preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and deliver customer service.

Responsibilities

Xpress Lube Technician

Volkswagen Xpress Lube Technician performs light maintenance and repairs for vehicles as assigned by management, following industry standards and best practices. The primary duties include using industry-standard shop equipment and tools to perform minor repair work or routine maintenance on customer vehicles.

Documents and performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following all dealership and factory standards

Recommends lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services to customers

Drains oil from the crankcase and refills with the required amount of oil

Inspects vehicle fluid levels and replaces or replenishes as necessary

Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed

Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts

Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor

Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins and completes specified training

Keeps the shop area neat and clean

Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals

Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations

Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner

Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation

$15 hourly
