Centennial School District seeks an LTS English/Communications Teacher at William Tennent High School. You will teach film and video/digital media production, covering camera use, framing, storyboarding, scripting, basic sound, and editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.

The role emphasizes integrating technology into instruction and meeting Pennsylvania standards. The position runs from 11/2/2026 to 4/14/2027, with daily hours 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, at William Tennent High School.

Formación

• Valid PA Certification in English (7-12) or Communications (7-12); certification in Communications (7-12) preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to teach TV production, including live streaming, audio production, and studio lighting.
• Working knowledge of latest video production equipment and software, including Apple computers, Adobe Suite, HD cameras, Tricaster software, etc.
• Experience working as an instructor or specialist with students at appropriate grade level and in subject area preferred.
• Ability to integrate technology into instructional delivery with strong classroom management.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania Academic Standards and ability to plan lessons accordingly.

Time: Monday - Friday 7:30 - 3:00 PM

As Per the CEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Salary Range: $54,160 - $83,501 per 26'-27' Salary Schedule.

To instruct students in film and video/digital media production to include basic camera functions, composition and framing, storyboarding, scripting, basic sound recording, and non-linear editing (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred), as well as web-based applications for beginning video editing courses.

Term of Employment: 11/2/2026 - 4/14/2027

Qualifications

• Valid PA Certification in English (7-12) or Communications (7-12); certification in Communications (7-12) preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to teach TV production, including live streaming, audio production, and studio lighting.
• Working knowledge of latest video production equipment and software, including Apple computers, Adobe Suite, HD cameras, Tricaster software, etc.
• Experience working as an instructor or specialist with students at appropriate grade level and in subject area preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team oriented, energetic, and creative.
• Ability to integrate technology into instructional delivery. Exceptional classroom management, organization, planning, instructional delivery, leadership, and technical skills and the ability to utilize differentiated instructional methods to engage students in positive learning experiences.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy, knowledge of Pennsylvania's Academic Standards and a sound understanding of how to prepare, direct and guide instruction to secondary students. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; to plan and implement lessons based on curriculum objectives and the needs and abilities of students.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and build relationships with students and parents to promote student achievement and strengthen community partnerships.
