Compact Industries, Inc. in St. Charles, IL is hiring for a 1st shift forklift operator to safely move materials throughout the facility.

You will use RF scanners to track movements, load/unload trailers, and maintain accurate records per GMP standards. The ideal candidate has a valid driver’s license, forklift experience, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials safely.
• Receive, transfer, ship or store materials; track with RF scanner.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO when handling products.
• Maintain GMP-compliant warehouse cleanliness.
• Assist in stock counts and audits.
• Report damaged materials or shortages.
• Complete pre-inspection of forklift and ensure labeling.
• Communicate with teammates to coordinate tasks.

# LTO- 1st ShiftHot JobSt. Charles, IL - St Charles, IL 60174## OverviewSalary Range$19.00 - $21.00 HourlyPosition TypeFull TimeJob Shift1st Shift 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM## Description**PURPOSE:**To safely utilize a forklift to move material throughout the facility.**RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Drive a forklift safely, following Company guidelines.* Maintain warehouse and lift truck cleanliness according to good manufacturing practices (GMPs).* Correctly receive, transfer, ship or store material, supplies, or equipment.* Load and unload trailers with product, recycling, supplies, etc.* Ensure accurate records of material movements are tracked via the RF scanner.* Utilize RF scanner to find material locations.* Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out), philosophy when pulling/placing product.* Move, stack and organize materials in designated storage areas.* Communicate with individuals in and out of the department to ensure what task needs to be completed.* Identify and report any damaged materials or shortages.* Complete a pre-inspection checklist to ensure the forklift is in proper working order.* Ensure all items have proper labels if needed.* Assist in stock takes/inventory counts.* Assist in audit preparation of area.* Follow all safety and GMP requirements.* Perform other duties as assigned.**REQUIREMENTS:*** Valid driver’s license required.* One or more years of forklift experience.* Experience in manufacturing and/or food environment is a plus.* Lift up to 50 lbs.* RF scanner experience is a plus.* Ability to calculate simple mathematical figures.* Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.* Good communication skills.* High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Do you want to transform your job into a career?Compact Industries, Inc. is a women/family-owned company, and we are looking for energetic people that are eager for success to join our team.
