Job summary

GRX Holdings, LLC is seeking a full-time Billing Technician for our Medicap Long Term Care Pharmacy in Iowa City. This on-site role requires submitting insurance claims and invoicing private-pay amounts across multiple billing cycles, while meeting tight deadlines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 2 years of billing experience, and experience in a professional office setting. Pharmacy technician experience and FrameworkLTC familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• At least 2 years of billing experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional office environment.
• Knowledge of FrameworkLTC software is preferred but not required.
• Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit claims to insurance companies for prescription sales.
• Invoice private pay amounts to patients for various billing cycles.
• Post payments to billing accounts and maintain resident files.
• Answer questions from LTC facilities, patients, and insurers.
• Prepare and distribute patient statements to LTC facilities on time.
• Investigate and resolve patient billing questions and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines in all tasks.
