Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN for Long Term Acute Care in Lagrange, GA. The role requires at least 1 year of LTAC or similar high-acuity experience, with a current BLS and GA licensure eligibility. The assignment runs 13 weeks at 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts.

Expected duties include ventilator care, wound management, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support patient recovery and discharge planning. Strong critical care skills and adaptability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN LTAC or equivalent high-acuity care experience.
• Current BLS certification and eligibility for Georgia state licensure.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a travel LTAC setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV meds, manage central lines, monitor vital signs and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and wound management.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and case managers on treatment plans.
• Support mobility, hygiene and nutrition; supervise LPNs/CNAs.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols; document care in real time.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharge planning.
