Job summary

University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Specialty Hospital in Lansing, MI seeks a per diem Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for its LTAC team. The role involves evaluating and treating acutely ill adults under hospitalist supervision, with 12-hour shifts and EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• RN with MI license and NP/PA licensure in MI
• 3–5 years acute care NP/PA hospital experience preferred
• Graduate of an NP/PA program; MSN degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates admissions and coordinates with attending physician; manages medication reconciliation.
• Performs H&P, medical consultations, discharge summaries and SOAP notes.
• Assists with plan of care development.
• Reviews X-Rays, labs and other diagnostics.
• Performs daily rounds.
• Responds to Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls.
• Communicates updates with physicians and staff
