Job summary

Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Broken Arrow in Broken Arrow, OK seeks a Pharmacist to work days in a long-term acute care hospital setting. The pharmacist collaborates with the Director of Pharmacy, compounds and dispenses medications, and participates in hospital performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy staff, ensuring safe drug therapy for adult and geriatric patients, reviewing orders, maintaining IV standards, and supporting clinical and education

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree.
• Current state license in good standing.
• BCLS certification.
• Minimum of three (3) months of experience in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of Pharmacy and dispense medications per prescriptions.
• Participate in Performance Improvement plans within the hospital.
• Advise Administration, Medical Staff and hospital staff on quality and regulatory issues.
• Supervise technical staff and support clinical and education programs.
• Ensure accuracy of drug therapy and patient safety for adults and geriatric patients.
• Enter a minimum of 40 orders per four-hour shift.
• Maintain medication security and proper inventory controls.
• Prioritize STAT, Now and Waiting orders and communicate workload status.
