Job summary

TurbineAero in Chandler, AZ is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform teardown, inspection, repair and assembly of APU accessories in accordance with OEM manuals and work instructions. You will follow safety procedures, maintain FAA-required records, and work with measuring tools and common hand tools.

The role requires 2–4 years in aerospace/manufacturing and an AA degree or equivalent, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• AA degree (or equivalent experience) in related discipline.
• 2-4 years mechanical experience involving similar equipment processes, measuring tools and assembly operations.
• 2-4 years prior Aerospace/manufacturing experience.
• Must possess the necessary hand tools to perform position responsibilities.
• Basic knowledge of Auxiliary Power Units.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform teardown, inspection, repair, and rebuild of APU accessories.
• Read, interpret, and follow maintenance manuals and work instructions.
• Assemble equipment per OEM manuals; perform light painting and touch up.
• Prepare findings and test data; maintain FAA records.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping; comply with company policies.

Description

Perform maintenance, overhaul and repair operations on APU accessories using appropriate tooling as required.

• With general supervision tear down, inspect, and rebuild APU accessories.
• Clean parts and assemblies as required
• Prepare documentation, including findings and test data
• Assemble equipment as required by the OEM maintenance manuals and other work instructions
• Light painting and touch up of assemblies as required
• Make setups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint and work instruction specifications.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals.
• Read, interpret and execute work instructions
• May prepare reports and suggest improvements and modifications from data collected
• Troubleshoots, repairs and services APU accessories
• Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• Maintains FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms.
• Follow all company policies including safety instructions
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices
• Other duties as assigned by manager
