FORTNA is seeking a Project Manager to own the scope, schedule and budget for material handling projects. The PM will coordinate with the internal project team, vendors, subcontractors and the customer, with an on-site presence from First Access to project completion.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years in the material handling industry or site project management, with strong scheduling, budgeting and leadership skills.

This includes coordination and correspondence with the internal project team, as well as vendors, subcontractors, and the customer. As the customer requires an on-site Project Management presence for the duration of installation from First Access to project completion on all of their projects, this is the expectation.Essential Functions:Manage projects up to $40M budgetThe ability to work with other departments and subcontractors in an effective and productive mannerThe ability to effectively communicate with the customerThe ability to schedule and maintain engineering activities for projectsThe ability to develop solutions to installation and other mechanical issuesThe ability to communicate and collaborate with others and other departmentsThe ability to analyze progress and determine issues in the schedule in a timely mannerThe ability to recruit and evaluate talent to grow the departmentThe ability to juggle multiple tasks and changing prioritiesMakes tactical decisions and ensure their executionProficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)50% time on project siteAdditional duties as assigned by the Program ExecutiveQualifications:Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business or Construction Management, or related experience strongly preferred5+ years’ experience in the material handling industry or site project management relatedExperience managing a department or focused work teamExperience with detailed schedulingExperience working with customers in planning and troubleshooting issuesExperience in coordinating department activities with other departmentsExperience managing a budget up to $40mThis job description describes the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position.
