Job summary

Baptist Urgent Care in Olive Branch, MS, is seeking experienced LPN/X-Ray Techs to support physicians and mid-level providers in clinical tasks and X-ray exams. The role emphasizes accurate charting, medication administration, and patient care across a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualified candidates have a practical nursing degree, valid LPN license to practice in MS, and at least two years of hospital or clinic experience.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
• Valid State License to perform X-Rays.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for examination or procedure.
• Record health history and note abnormal conditions for Provider.
• Instruct patients on collection of samples and tests.
• Obtain vital signs and escort patients to rooms.
• Aid physician or mid-level practitioner during treatment and testing.
• Give injections and administer prescribed medications as directed.
• Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and drug reactions.
• Perform X-ray procedures for evaluation by attending provider.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and medical records.
• Assist with scheduling tests and referrals; obtain pre-authorizations.
