Job summary

IdahoPTV is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Idaho Division of Veterans Services at the State Veterans Home in Post Falls. This full-time role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus for first-time Idaho state employees, and involves direct nursing care in a long-term care setting.

The candidate will provide practical nursing care under supervision, support residents and families, and participate in medication administration and routine treatments.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in Idaho or eligible via Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Experience educating patients or groups is preferred.
• Experience guiding or orienting other staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs practical nursing care or assists a nurse/physician in routine to complex situations.
• Monitors and reports residents' health status and progress.
• Administers medications as prescribed and observes for adverse reactions.
• Performs treatments including dressings, NG tubes, catheterization, sutures.
• Educates residents and families on health needs and proper care.
• Documents medications and health information; communicates with healthcare team.
• Orders labs and x-rays as directed by physician.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
