Job summary

Watson Clinic LLP in Lakeland, FL seeks an LPN or Medical Assistant to provide basic medical and nursing care, support patient comfort, and discuss health care with patients. You will report patient status to RNs and providers and assist with office and procedural flow.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program and hold an active Florida LPN license or be eligible.

• If pursuing Medical Assistant track, completion of an accredited MA program or 1 year of MA work within 2 years.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Summary/Objective: Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers.

Essential Functions

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.


• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.


• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.


• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.


• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records


• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.


• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.


• Maintain the integrity of the office.


• Assists with the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician office and assists the physician with medical office procedures as needed.


• Assists with hospital procedures and/or surgeries and coordinates scheduling surgical procedures.

Requirements Requirements

Required Education and Experience:
