Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Sayville, NY seeks an LPN Supervisor to oversee a team of nurses, HHA's and medication technicians in the Wellness/Resident Services Center. You will mentor staff, manage medications, and ensure quality daily care for residents in a luxury assisted living community.

Active LPN certification with supervisory experience is required; knowledge of MARs and physician orders is essential.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license or certification with current NY registration.
• Experience supervising staff in an assisted living, nursing home, or similar setting.
• Experience with residents who have Alzheimer's disease or dementia is a plus.
• Knowledge of MARs and doctors' orders.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, mentor and supervise nurses, HHAs, and medication technicians on shift.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and medication administration.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and physician orders.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality care and foster a safe, welcoming environment.
• Support Director of Wellness in regulatory and quality responsibilities.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LPN Supervisor to oversee, mentor and nurture a team of nurses, HHA's, resident care aides and medication technicians in the busy Wellness/Resident Services Center of our luxury assisted living community. Acting as the shift supervisor in the absence of the Director, you will provide caring and attentive help to residents in managing their activities of daily living (ADLs) as well as in the administration of their medications — all while leading the team in caring for residents with skill and genuine kindness. Your role is essential to the care and safety of residents who choose to call The Bristal home. The loving care and professionalism you bring to the services you provide are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.

Additional Responsibilities Include

• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Director of Wellness
• Must have staff supervisory and medication oversight experience, preferably in an assisted living, nursing home or similar environment
• You must have an active LPN certification and be driven by a genuine desire to improve the quality of life of our residents
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus
• Must be caring, reliable and observant with an understanding of MAR’s and doctors' orders
• It’s essential to excel in prioritizing, multi-tasking and working independently
