Essential Functions:
  • Manage daily nursing department operations under the Director of Nursing, including staffing, quality assurance, and resident care monitoring
  • Conduct regular rounds to observe operations and recommend improvements, ensuring resident rights, safety, and infection control protocols are maintained
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance nurse to review incident reports and implement corrective actions
  • Supervise staffing requirements and ensure duty compliance
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs, including audits and reporting
  • Rotate after-hours on-call duties as assigned
  • May be required to work as a staff nurse during shortages
