Job summary

Majestic Care Avon is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses to join our team and uphold the values of listening, empathy, accountability, decisiveness, and leading with love. We provide skilled nursing in the memory care unit with supervision of CNAs and alignment to physicians' orders.

Qualified applicants are LPNs or RNs licensed in Indiana, graduates of accredited nursing programs, and CPR-certified (preferred).

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
