Job summary

A healthcare provider in Gas City, Indiana, is seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide daily care and health needs for residents. Responsibilities include maintaining open communication, supervising staff, reviewing medication, and providing restorative nursing care. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort of residents.
• Assure restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated.
• Maintain open communication with nursing management regarding conditions on the nursing unit.
• Explain treatment goals and expectations to the resident and family.
• Supervise/manage personnel on the unit.
• Review medication and clinical records to verify proper maintenance.
• Review daily assignments of nursing staff to assure consistency with ability.
• Assist and instruct nursing staff in special treatments.

Education

Day Shift - 12 Hr. Shifts 6a - 6p OR 8 Hr. Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights)

Responsibilities

• Nurses provides for the daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of the resident
• Nurses assure that restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated and ordered
• Nurses maintain open communication with nursing management conditions on the nursing unit and concerns related to staff, residents and visitors
• Nurses explain treatment goals and expectations to the resident and family, in an effort to obtain feedback and cooperation
• Nurses supervise/manage personnel on his/her unit
• Nurses review medication system, clinical records, in order to verify that medical records are properly maintained and updated
• Nurses review daily assignments of nursing staff on the unit to assure that assigned duties are consistent with ability and training
• Nurses assist and instruct nursing staff on unit in special treatments and nursing care
