Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for the Rheumatology department in Zephyrhills, FL. The role supports the RN and provider with patient evaluation, education, medication administration, IV therapy, and safety protocols.

You will document patient data, participate in triage, and ensure a compassionate, compliant care environment while maintaining up-to-date clinical skills and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing school.
• Successful completion of a 30-hour IV therapy course within 30 days of hire for inpatient/SNF only.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in advanced practical nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment per unit requisites.
• Communicates patient condition to RN and healthcare team.
• Assists RN or provider during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data and education according to guidelines.
• Administers oral and injectable medications per LPN scope as directed.
• Maintains a safe and caring environment and adheres to policies.
