Job summary

Community-Residences seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support adult residents in a residential setting in Winsted, CT. This full-time position involves supervising health and safety, administering medications, and coordinating with RNs and the program manager.

The ideal candidate holds a CT LPN license, has one year of LPN experience (DD setting preferred), and possesses a valid CT driver’s license. Training and on-call support are provided by the program.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CT driver’s license and be able to drive own and agency vehicles.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have one year experience working as an LPN or completed CRI’s LPN-in-training program.
• Education: high school diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited LPN program; current CT LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Manage health, safety and well-being of developmentally disabled residents in residential facilities during shift.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document administration.
• Record data on teaching strategies and residents’ progress.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality in accordance with policy.
• Follow IP/service plans and document changes and progress.
