Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This position requires candidates to demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills while ensuring quality care delivery.
Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a current LPN license. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants. Additional certifications such as BLS and IV therapy credentials are preferred.
This job provides direct care (including IV therapy) of assigned patients within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse. The candidate directs and assists ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties, interacts with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel, and demonstrates professional responsibilities, being responsible for own practice and assisting other members of the healthcare team in providing the highest quality personalized patient care.
