Job summary

Red Rock Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and coordinate medical/psychiatric services for clients in Elk City, OK. The LPN will ensure continuity of care, assist with medication management, assessments, and collaboration with psychiatrists and staff.

The position requires Oklahoma licensure and a commitment to the agency's mission, with opportunities to contribute to program goals, document care, and participate in ongoing trainings.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma LPN license required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with physical assessment and handling medical emergencies.
• Ability to work shift-work.
• Commitment to Red Rock mission.
• Experience with psychotropic medications preferred.
• Psychiatric nursing knowledge preferred.
• Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments to identify needs and plan care.
• Administer medications and maintain clinical charts.
• Monitor activities of Mental Health Assistants on shifts.
• Review client progress and coordinate with other programs and doctors.
• Document care per nursing standards and agency policies.
• Assess clients' mental status daily.
• Perform nursing duties under supervision of the Psychiatrist; collect routine labs and administer injections.
• Maintain competencies related to co-occurring disorders.
• Count and document locked PRN medications with supervision.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Assist in developing and implementing program goals and Care Plans.
• Support Care Plans for Red Rock Health Team.
• Perform other duties as required.
