Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Med. Group is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. You’ll support clinical teams, follow the nursing process, and contribute to holistic patient care across the lifecycle.

Candidates should have an active LPN license, BCLS, and be prepared to complete any required specialty certifications within 180 days; hospital experience is preferred to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an LPN program is required.
• LPN with state licensure required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS if working in Emergency Department required.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in Emergency Department within 180 Days required.
• LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process.
• Governs ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals to deliver quality nursing care.

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients form birth through the lifecycle utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements; functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The Licensed Practical Nurse guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care. The Licensed Practical Nurse blends compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient.

Work Experience

• New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
